It‘s been quite a journey getting here! I‘d like to extend a huge thank you to Rob Hanson, Realtor, for helping me get two of my challenging properties sold. Initially, my plans for these properties were to develop them into something much bigger, but I ran into numerous roadblocks and had to pivot my focus to commercial buildings. The market changed, but in the end, a buyer was found who is now converting these properties into fourplexes, which are now allowed in the London market.
These properties were a key part of my learning journey, teaching me to deal with landlord-tenant board (LTB) challenges, tenant relations, and renovations. If anyone is familiar with the incident at the “machete house,” then you know that happened at 142 Wellington Street, just days after purchasing the property. That was certainly a startling event I won’t forget.
After cleaning up my portfolio to streamline and optimize, I am now left with high-performance assets that will continue to provide safe and clean housing for years to come. I‘m happy to look back at the lessons I learned from these properties, and also glad to move on.
